Shamans

Shamans are a pretty versatile class, they can melee DPS, ranged DPS, and heal. They have the ability to resurrect fallen allies and reincarnate which is very useful in wipe recovery. They can wear mail armor and shields making them tough to kill.

In PvP they can excel as a melee DPS, ranged DPS, or as a healer. Their totems can buff allies to such extremes that it can be the difference in an Arena match.

In The Burning Crusade the biggest problem for Shamans was threat management, if that is fixed in Wrath of the Lich King look forward to seeing them near the top of DPS charts.

Pros
Ability to heal and resurrect other players. Can turn into a Ghost Wolf that will enhance travel speed. They get the ability to use totems to further enhance themselves and allies. They can wear shields and mail armor.

Cons

A Shaman's totems are weak and can be destroyed easily. It is easy to lose control of your mana pool and run yourself out of mana very fast. None of the buffs they give last very long which was an annoyance with other classes as well.
