WoW Herbalism Guide 1-450

WoW Herbalism Guide 1-450

This WoW Herbalism Guide (updated for patch 3.2) will take you through the best routes to get your Herbalism level to 375. It can be used by anyone to get their skill up; however, watch the zone levels in case you are gathering with a lower level character. Before starting this guide be sure you have Herbalism trained and your bags are empty, as you will be collected lots of herbs.

If you are using this guide to get herbs to use with Alchemy keep in mind that this guide is designed to raise your skill level as quickly as possible, but might not provide you with the herbs you need to make worthwhile Alchemy recipes. If you are power leveling your Alchemy I suggest using this guide to get your Herbalism up initially and then buy the extra supplies you need off the auction house to make additional lower level Alchemy recipes. If gold is a problem check out this Gold Guide.

When following these routes remember that the lines outlined on the map are just basic routes to follow and that the herbs will be spread around on both sides of the lines drawn on each map. Also, if you find you like a certain area or are having a very easy time collecting herbs there then stay in the area longer until all the herbs turn green or gray.

Leveling Sections:
1-70: Peacebloom, Silverleaf, and Earthroot
71-130: Mageroyal, Briarthorn, and Stranglekelp
131-170: Bruiseweed and Wild Steelbloom
171-220: Kingsblood, Liferoot, Fadeleaf, Goldthorn, and Khadgar's Whisker
221-270: Firebloom, Purple Lotus, Goldthorn, Sungrass, and Fadeleaf
271-300: Sungrass, Gromsblood, Golden Sansam, Dreamfoil, Mountain Silversage, and Plaguebloom
301-350: Felweed
351-400: Goldclover
401-435: Goldclover, Tiger Lily, Adder's Tongue
436-450: Icethorn and Lichbloom

Gathering Peacebloom, Silverleaf, and Earthroot

Skill: 1-70
Zones: Durotar (1-11), Elwynn Forest (1-10), Teldrassil (1-10), and Tirisfal Glades (1-11)

All of these starting zones are loaded with herbs, you are bound to find loads of them by running just about any where in them.

Gathering Mageroyal, Briarthorn, and Stranglekelp

Skill: 71-130
Zone: The Barrens (10-25) and Silverpine Forest (10-20)

If possible, The Barrens is where you want to be for these Herbalism levels; however, I have included a map for Silverpine Forest because it is a decent place to find herbs for these levels.

Gathering Bruiseweed and Wild Steelbloom

Skill: 131-170
Zone: Stonetalon Mountains (14-28)

If you find yourself having a hard time gathering herbs in Stonetalon then you can try out Hillsbrad Foothills, but I recommend sticking with Stonetalon unless for some reason you are having a very difficult time there.

Gathering Kingsblood, Liferoot, Fadeleaf, Goldthorn, and Khadgar's Whisker

Skill: 171-220
Zone: Stranglethorn Vale (30-44)

Stranglethorn Vale is loaded with herbs and is my top place to gather at this skill level; however, if you do find yourself getting camped by the opposite faction you can try Arathi Highlands, but stick with Stranglethorn if you can. If you find that all this herbing has taken away from your gold making time look at this gold guide for tips on how to make more gold in less time.

Gathering Firebloom, Purple Lotus, Goldthorn, Sungrass, and Fadeleaf

Skill: 221-270
Zone: Tanaris (40-50) and The Hinterlands (40-51)

For these levels I suggest going to Tanaris and collecting enough herbs to reach 230 and then going to The Hinterlands until 270. If you want you can skip Tanaris, but keep in mind that you won't be able to pick Sungrass (which is plentiful in The Hinterlands) until 230. Look for Purple Lotus by the various ruins throughout both zones.

Gathering Sungrass, Gromsblood, Golden Sansam, Dreamfoil, Mountain Silversage, and Plaguebloom

Skill: 271-300
Zones: Felwood (48-55)

Follow the routes on the map until you hit 300 and then head to Hellfire Peninsula.

Gathering Felweed

Skill: 301-350
Zone: Hellfire Peninsula (58-63)

Hellfire Peninsula is covered with Felweed, use the map as a general guideline to follow but remember that there is basically Felweed anywhere in this zone.

Gathering Goldclover

Skill: 351-400
Zone: Howling Fjord (68-72)

You will find a lot of Goldclover in just about every area of Howling Fjord.

Gathering Goldclover, Tiger Lily, and Adder's Tongue

Skill: 401-435
Zone: Sholazar Basin (75-78)

Here you will collect more Goldclover, along with some Tiger Lily and Adder's Tongue until you reach about 435.

Gathering Icethorn and Lichbloom

Skill: 436-450
Zone: The Storm Peaks (76-80)

It will not take you long to finish off to 450, simply run around The Storm Peaks and before you know it you'll be there!

carbonite is amazing

dude carbonite is amazing i have a small map to track my route and then my minimap to show me herb and mining node locations.... plus a "questhelper" integrated into it that is simply amazing....

Carbonite sucks

Carbonite is def not worth it, may be smaller, but the size is a small price to pay.
Carbo. simply sucks.
a Decent CPU can easily use QH and have Gatherer and all the other addons that comes with Failbonite.

Another gatherer mod

If you guys are using QuestHelper, which most people do, trash it.
Download Carbonite. It has gatherer built in to the mod and it runs MUCH, MUCH lighter than QH and Gatherer combined.

Small mistake?

Can't gather Plaguebloom until skill level 285. Most annoying as I went to EP at 271 and couldn't get any PB...

Gatherer

I completely agree on the gatherer mod. However, i just recently discovered something incredible. Gatherer performed a data recording using wowstead to record all mining nodes/herbs found in world of warcraft. There is now an entire database on ALL nodes/herbs found in the game up until this point. It shows all of them on the map and minimap.

Heres how to install:

-Gatherer
1. Go to curse.com
2. Go to the WOW section of the top navbar
3. Search for Gatherer in the blue search bar center page, called "Find addon"
4. Click it and manually install to your world of warcraft addons folder.

-Gatherer Database (**Must have gatherer before hand for this to work)
1. Ditto
2. Ditto
3. Search for Gatherer Database in the blue search bar center page, called "Find addon"
4. Click it and manually install to your world of warcraft addons folder.

-Applying and Using the Gatherer Databse
1. Once both of the above are completed open the game.
2. Enter World of character you wish to use. You can do it for as many characters as you'd like.
3. Once in game, type /gatherer and it should open up the gatherer options menu. You can also Right click the green icon on your minimap.
4. Go to the database section of your gatherer options side nav bar
5. Hit the red "import" button.
6. It should start importing the files.

***The Database will severely slow down your system and induce SEVERE lag if you have a slow computer. This is only for STRONG HARD DRIVES. Also, if you already have many mods, do not use it for the same reason, it will decrease performance rate.

I hope it's useful to whoever decides to use it. It's incredible for speed tracking your profession leveling and helps a GREAT deal. It's also wonderful if you wish to farm A LOT. Now you know all the secret spots to find those rare spawns :D

you also might want to

you also might want to consider - routes, cartographer(can be disabled) & gathermate to get a complete set of addons that works together to optimize and show you the available routes

addon

maps were great, right on.

I recommend anyone leveling to get the addon gatherer.
So what does this do? any time you right click on a herb it records it to your map and minimap to show the location. I find that 55% of the time herbs re-spawn in the same spots (as proven by these maps) and although you wont have a line indicating the location, you will have a picture of the herb you have found at that location posted on top of your map...

I am not too familiar with the addon, but somehow you can have it share with other ppl.

Addon

Don't you think it will be cool to have these routes on your map ingame with an addon? i think someone should work on that

Thank You!

Level 70 paladin for a year and a half, never leveled a prof on him till this and it was fast! looks like a guide you actually put a little work in to. got from 100 to 330 in one day while raiding that day.

After one full circle around the routes my addon Gatherer would almost show the path haha!
